Gathering:  The Gospel

The gospel announces to us that by His grace God has come to us in the person of Jesus Christ to restore us in relationship to Himself and to renew the world on a spiritual, social, cultural and physical level. The gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. It changes everything and therefore forms the center of all we will be and do as a church.

To that end, we are committed to:

  • Creating an environment that is warm and welcoming to all people, regardless of their beliefs, so that they may have the opportunity to know Christ and salvation in Him.

  • Applying the gospel to every aspect of human existence to promote Christian growth and change through the work of God’s grace to us and through us.

GRowing:  Fellowship and Community

Jesus not only calls us to follow Him as individuals, but also gathers us into a community where we can live in relationship with Him and His people. The two great commandments are love for God and love for people. Real love is based on knowledge and real knowledge is found only through living in relationship with God and one another. The Gospel gives us something bigger and better to unite around than our age, gender, race, or class. As Paul says in Colossians 3:11, “Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.”

To that end, we are committed to:

  • Cultivating a loving community of people of different ages, cultures, and vocations by reaching out to a wide cross-section of Dallas and building our identity upon who we are in Christ.

  • Investing in the spiritual health of our families by developing and an excellent Christ-Centered children’s ministry.

  • Encouraging and equipping people to serve Christ’s Church through the unique gifts God has given to them.

Going:  Mission

God sent His Son into the world to draw us into relationship with Himself and then He sends us out to lovingly engage the world for the cause of Christ. The whole Bible tells the story of God’s mission through His people to engage His world for the glory of His name and the restoration of His creation. The Church is the primary instrument God has called and ordained to carry out His mission in the world.

To that end we are committed to:

  • Being in the world, not of the world, for the world and all for the glory of God.
